Terms & Conditions

1. Definitions

In these terms and conditions the following terms shall mean:

• Web shop: the online store of Egyptisch Katoen, accessible at egyptischkatoen.nl
• Trader: Egyptisch Katoen, registered at Gildenweg 22, 8304 BC Emmeloord
• Customer: the natural or legal person entering into an agreement with the trader
• Agreement: the purchase agreement between trader and customer
• Products: all items offered in the web shop

2. Applicability

These terms apply to every offer of the trader and to every agreement concluded between trader and customer. The terms are available on the website and can be sent on request.

3. The offer

All offers in the web shop are non-binding and subject to availability. The trader endeavours to display product descriptions, images and prices as accurately as possible. Colour variations due to screen settings cannot, however, be avoided.

Prices are stated in euros including VAT. Shipping costs are shown separately before finalising the order.

4. The agreement

The agreement comes into effect when the customer confirms the order and the trader sends a confirmation email. The trader reserves the right to refuse orders or request additional information.

The trader will provide the following information at the latest upon delivery: confirmation of the agreement, the trader's visiting address, the total amount including VAT, the trader's identity and the warranty conditions.

5. Delivery and shipping

Orders are processed and dispatched within 1–2 working days. Average delivery times are 2–3 working days for the Netherlands and 3–5 working days for Belgium.

• Free shipping: for orders over €75 within the Netherlands and Belgium
• Standard shipping: €4.95 for orders under €75
• Belgium: €5.95 for orders under €75

The risk of damage or loss of products passes to the customer at the moment the products are delivered.

6. Right of withdrawal

The customer has the right to withdraw from the agreement within 30 days of receiving the product, without giving any reason. This right does not apply to:

• Products clearly of a personal nature (e.g. used bedding)
• Products that are non-returnable for hygienic reasons once the seal has been broken

During the withdrawal period the customer shall handle the product and packaging with care, and shall only unpack or use the product to the extent necessary to assess whether they wish to keep it.

7. Return procedure

Want to return a product? Follow these steps:

1. Register your return via info@egyptischkatoen.nl within 30 days of receipt
2. Pack the product in the original packaging (if possible)
3. Include the return label or follow the return instructions from the confirmation email
4. Send the product back within 14 days of registering the return

Once we have received and inspected the return, the purchase amount is refunded within 14 days to the original payment account.

8. Warranty and complaints

We guarantee the conformity of the delivered products. This means the product must meet what you may reasonably expect from it. Duvet covers and bath textiles are covered by the statutory conformity guarantee.

Our additional quality guarantees:

• 100% Giza cotton guarantee: every product is certified as authentic Giza cotton
• 30-day money-back: not satisfied? Money back, no questions asked
• 1-year quality warranty: on product and manufacturing defects

Complaints about the performance of the agreement must be submitted in writing to the trader within a reasonable time after the customer has noticed the defects. A complaint does not entitle the customer to suspend payments.

9. Payment

The following payment methods are accepted:

• iDEAL
• Credit card (Visa, Mastercard)
• PayPal
• Bancontact (Belgium)

The trader reserves the right to exclude certain payment methods for high-risk orders. In case of late payment the trader is entitled to dissolve the agreement.

10. Liability

The trader's liability is limited to direct damages that are a direct and foreseeable consequence of an attributable shortcoming. Liability is in any case limited to the purchase price. The trader is not liable for indirect damages such as consequential loss or lost profits.

11. Intellectual property

All intellectual property rights to the products, images, texts and design of the web shop belong to the trader or its licensors. They may not be copied, reproduced or exploited without prior written consent.

12. Disputes and applicable law

All agreements are governed exclusively by Dutch law. Disputes are first resolved through mutual consultation. Failing that, the competent court in the district where the trader is established has jurisdiction, unless the law mandatorily prescribes otherwise.

Consumers may at any time submit a dispute to the Dutch Disputes Committee or via the European ODR platform (ec.europa.eu/odr).
