The Egyptian cotton difference in your bathroom

An Egyptian Giza cotton towel feels different from the first touch. Its extra-long fibres (ELS) make the terry loops denser and fluffier, so the towel absorbs more moisture — up to 40% more than standard cotton — and dries faster. The result: a hotel feeling every morning, for years.

GSM explained: how heavy should your towel be?

GSM (grams per square metre) determines the weight and plush density. 400–500 GSM is lighter and quick-drying — ideal for the gym or beach. 600–700 GSM is the premium standard: thick, absorbent and spa-like. Our bath towels are 650–750 GSM — the sweet spot between luxury and practical.

Care for maximum plushness

Wash new towels once before use with a splash of vinegar (no fabric softener — it coats the fibres and reduces absorbency). After that, wash at 40–60°C and tumble dry with dryer balls for maximum fluffiness. No bleach — Egyptian cotton doesn't need it.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Why are Egyptian cotton towels more expensive?
+
The Giza cotton plant only grows in a small area of the Nile Delta, is hand-picked and yields less per hectare than industrial cotton varieties. That scarcity plus the superior ELS fibre makes the fabric more expensive — but also two to three times as durable.
Which sizes do you offer?
+
Guest towels 30×50 cm, hand towels 50×100 cm, bath towels 70×140 cm, bath sheets 90×180 cm and beach towels 100×200 cm. Bath mats in 50×80 cm and 60×100 cm.
Do your towels shed in the first washes?
+
Minimally. High-grade terry weaving and long fibres mean far less lint than standard cotton. The first wash removes loose fibres from the production process — after that, it's done.
Are the towels tumble-dryer safe?
+
Yes — and even better, the tumble dryer makes Egyptian cotton extra fluffy. Low to medium heat, optionally with dryer balls for extra volume.
How often should I replace my towels?
+
With daily use, Egyptian cotton towels last 5 to 8 years — two to three times longer than cheap alternatives. Replace them when absorbency noticeably drops.
What's in a complete bath set?
+
Our bath sets include 2 bath towels (70×140), 2 hand towels (50×100) and 2 guest towels (30×50) as standard. Add a bath mat or bath sheet on request.
